Correspondences along the lines of the Erlangen Manuscript/Pjesnarica regarding the development of aquatic formulas are presented. The song ”The Danube married Sava” was established, which testifies to the old processes of penetration of the epic into the lyric. The hero of Russian folk epic poetry, Dunaj Ivanovich, from whose blood the Danube River sprang, was seen as the long-ago impulse for singing about an important all-Slavic river. The poem talks about a special sacred wedding, the wedding of the rivers, which we called aquaticus gamos. Variants in the Erlangen Manuscript and the Pjesnarica are listed, which grow out of the dialectic of the participation of rivers in their formative and plot structures. The closeness of the wedding and love lyrics was marked and the idea of the possible disintegration of larger poems and poetic units into smaller poems and parts was offered. The visual formula of the eagle’s jay included in our field of inquiry the Customs and poems of the Serbs in Turkey, by Ivan Stepanovič Jastrebov, which turn out to be a significant link in the diachronic duration of the variants of our folk poetry. A small number of contributions on the connections between India and our oral literature is joined by our sketch for the potential reading of song variants in which the eagle’s hawk appears. Belgrade, as the final destination of the journey of the eagle’s hawk, is understood as a reflex of the location close to the origin of the Erlangen manuscript and the theory of Srem singing by Svetozar Matić, from the perspective of the lyrical songs in Pjesnarica.
