Abstract

The paper presents the ways in which anthologies of Ragusan literature written by Serbian authors, as well as those of Serbian literature that include works written in old Dubrovnik, have influenced the national literary canon. Firstly, their impact on the predominating image of Serbian literature is reviewed in the light of the theoretical bases of the anthologies, which is an aspect connected to the perception of Ragusan literature as a constituent of Serbian literary canon. Secondly, the paper analyses the influence of the very texts included in the anthologies on the reception of the national canon. The anthologies are reviewed in a chronological order: from the 19th century anthologies of Serbian literature, through the anthologies of Serbian and Ragusan literature written during the 19th and 20th century, up to their echo in the 20th century anthologies of Serbian literature based on a single-topic concept.
