Abstract

The paper examines the share of compulsory and optional methodical subjects and courses in basic, master’s and doctoral academic studies of Serbian literature and language at the Faculty of Philology of the University of Belgrade. It points to a multitude of diverse teaching methods, didactic principles, forms of work and approaches that enable successful preparation of students for contemporary teaching of Serbian language and literature. Special attention is paid to successful interdisciplinary graduate and master’s theses, but also to student projects that represent creative, active and productive teaching of literature and the Serbian language at the Department of Serbian Literature with South Slavic Literatures of the Faculty of Philology, University of Belgrade.
