Keywords:

The paper seeks to point out, on the one hand, a specific strucutal-compositional framework, and on the other hand, the immanent theatralicity of the being of Pekić’s Golden Fleece. The organization of the Njegovan-Turjaški family into a micro-theatrical community – a family theater – is emphasized. Attention is drawn to the fundamentality of the Njegovan’s credo of being-acting and to the symbolic subordination to the will od the didacticians. The symbolism of the circle is discussed in the context od defining the circus genre, as well as the semantics of the family circus. The nature of historical repetitiveness is analyzed and the relationship between the conceptualization of time in history and myth is examined.
